Tuke & Bloom are recycled glass experts. They live and breathe what they do, sharing a lifelong passion for the skill and magic of glass making. In response to increasing requests for volume order recycled glassware they established Tuke & Bloom to handle such requests, seeking to become the UK’s foremost supplier in this sector. They asked us to help name the business, create their brand identity, design and build their website, and implement their point of sale, display, and marketing materials.
The result is a mark that plays upon the history of manufacturers stamps in the glass trade, twisted to appear as a ‘look down’ into a tumbler. The use of two ampersands is deliberate and creates an infinite loop, a reference to the nature of glass re-use.
The website, launched in September, is set-up to feel glass-like. It promotes the processes of production over products (they are a commission based business after all), and the environmental benefits to business of choosing recycled materials. Tuke & Bloom were keen to retain a sense that the human hand still has a role to play in the glass making trade, one which we elevated by use of workshop imagery and sensitively composed copy.
